“Get Rid of Me” investigates the process of healing.

So much pain and changes can be made on the inside, that they can be seen on the outside, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t still struggle.

In this mixed media piece the pain and old choices she would make are represented by the figure, cracked and bleeding, chained together with old habits that no longer serve you.

But as she sheds the pain and habits, she heals, blossoming forth new ways of doing things and creating a beautiful life for herself.
